Five-star 1623 theatre company returns to the magnificent Poole's Cavern in Buxton - after the recent critical and sell-out success of Macbeth - for another Shakespearean adventure underground.

This time it's Hamlet, which marks an exciting collaboration with physical theatre company Maison Foo, who will perform The Murder of Gonzago, Hamlet's play-within-the-play.

Shakespeare's tale of murder, madness and revenge takes over the cavern, where Hamlet's best friend Horatio guides you through the subterranean chambers and underground action.

Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 July 2008. 7.00 p.m. Tickets £8 (£6 concessions) from Buxton Opera House on 0845 127 2190. To book online, visit
