Five-star 1623 theatre company returns to the magnificent Poole's Cavern in Buxton - after the recent critical and sell-out success of Macbeth - for another Shakespearean adventure underground.

This time it's Hamlet, which marks an exciting collaboration with physical theatre company Maison Foo, who will perform The Murder of Gonzago, Hamlet's play-within-the-play.

A set of exciting, high-energy Shakespeare shows will play at this year's Glastonbury Festival.  1623 theatre company, which specialises in performing Shakespeare in unusual places, returns to the legendary festival after performing in the mud last year.

Three members of Derby Playhouse Youth Theatre will make their professional stage debut in a Shakespeare production later this week.  Jonathon Levers, Amy Scott and Grace Scott have been cast in 1623 theatre company's  Macbeth, which will open on Wednesday at Poole's Cavern in Buxton.
